Appointments

Contact us Online

We have an Online service available for non-urgent medical, administration or prescription queries. It's simple to fill out your request and often quicker than contacting us by phone.

Using the link opposite please give as much specific and concise information as possible so we can deal with your enquiry efficiently.

Answer a few short questions and we will get back to you within 3 working days. Please do not use this online form for urgent or emergency requests.

Routine Appointment

To request a routine appointment in the next 7 days:

  • use our online system via the link at the top of this page
  • phone us Monday to Friday from 8am:
    • St Vincent: 01302 361318
    • Hollybush: 01302 890440
  • visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am
  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) to book a screening test or vaccination

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Auto-Arrival System

We have an auto-arrival system at both surgeries to enable you to let the practice know that you have arrived for your appointment. This bypasses queuing at reception. It is a touch-screen device that will automatically arrive you on our computer system. There are on-screen instructions in many languages.

Extended Healthcare Team

You don’t always have to see your GP if you have a health concern.  There are a number of other healthcare professionals working within your GP practice who may be better placed to give you the medical care you need.  You can find out a bit more about these different roles and how they can help you by clicking here.

Home visits

Our doctors typically see four patients at the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit. For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the practice if at all possible. However, if you are too ill to get to the surgery and think you need a home visit please telephone the surgery to request this.

The receptionist will ask you to describe the main symptoms and take a contact telephone number.  These details will be passed to the duty doctor who will telephone you to discuss your problem and ensure the best outcome for you.

Wherever possible, requests for a home visit should be received before 11am.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

Many appointments are not attended on a weekly basis. If you cannot keep an appointment or no longer need to see the doctor please let us know as soon as possible so the appointment can then be offered to another patient.

To cancel your appointment:

  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  • using the GP online system via the link at the top of this page
  • phone us Monday to Friday from 8am:
    • St Vincent: 01302 361318
    • Hollybush: 01302 890440
  • reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message

We do have a strict DNA (Did Not Attend) policy and if you persistently fail to attend booked appointments for the doctor, nurse or clinic, you may be removed from the practice list.
