Child Health and Immunisation 

All new babies are invited for regular check-ups from eight weeks old. All childhood immunisations are given by the practice nurse during baby clinic.  

Family Planning

All the doctors and nurses can provide contraceptive advice and arrangements can be made for coil, cap and implant fittings.  Please discuss your needs with the doctor. 

Minor Surgery

Minor operations can be done in our treatment room. Please discuss this with your doctor who will then arrange for you to be given an appointment.

Diabetes 

Led by our nursing team, this clinic offers advice and general health check-ups to patients diagnosed with diabetes.

Asthma & COPD

We offer patients who suffer with Asthma and COPD an appointment with our nurses who specialise in these illnesses for advice and support.

Vaccinations/Immunisations

Adult immunisations are given by the nurse during the week, by appointment.  Vaccinations necessary for travel are also given in the practice, in the travel clinic.  

Cervical Smears

A recall system is operated by the Cytology Department.  You will be notified by them when your cervical smear is due, please contact the surgery to make an appointment with the practice nurse.

Ante-Natal Clinic

If you are thinking of becoming, or already are pregnant, start taking folic acid. If a home pregnancy test is positive, you can register with the midwife without seeing a doctor. Please complete a referral form (which can be obtained from reception), your details will then be passed onto the midwife who will contact you to arrange an appointment.  

Postnatal Checks

This is an important routine check following the birth of your child. It is done six weeks after delivery.
